Expedition food brand Firepot seeks bike dealers

On a quiet farm estate in the Dorset town of Bridport, award winning dehydrated expedition food business named Firepot has been producing meals since 2017.

Founded by John Fisher to serve as an adventurer’s most important companion: slow-cooked, natural food that tastes delicious, the team produce in excess of 2k meals a day and 500,000 meals a year with most of the ingredients being sourced as locally as possible.

As well as being used by adventurers worldwide, Firepot meals are pitched as the perfect solution for keeping bike packing and gravel riders well fuelled in the saddle.

In June 2023, Firepot appointed Jim Hart as Sales Manager. As a keen cyclist and having worked in the industry for many years Jim has formed relationships with several bike packing and gravel specialists within the UK including “The Woods Cyclery” in Lyndhurst, Hampshire.

In recent weeks The Woods and Firepot hosted a collaborative ride out from the New Forest shop which had people travel from as far afield as Bath, Bristol, London and even Cornwall. The off-road, muddy route stopped mid-way to allow riders to refuel with a nutritious lunch provided by Firepot which was enjoyed out in the elements.

The Woods Cyclery owner Tom Farrel said: “Firepot is delicious, packs small and is super easy to rehydrate. It really is perfect for bike packing and has proved a good addition to the shop.”
