Follow our Taiwan tour as CI.N gains access to key labels

Coming to Taiwan’s Capital City between 4th and 7th March 2020 is Taipei Cycle, held at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre.

This is the annual cycle trade event where Taiwan shows of the latest technologies, parts and accessories; and international brands exhibit and source new products, services and contacts.

This year the International Pre-Show press conference will be on October 21st, held at the Taichung offices of TIATRA, the Taiwanese Trade Association. This event is always a good chance to see a selection of brands showcasing their latest products and is also a great opportunity to gauge where Taiwan is heading in relation to sporting goods, and which cycling sectors are hot right now.

CI.N will be able to provide that gauge from the Press Conference, as we have a reporter attending both the Press Conference, and the media tour that follows it. On the itinerary of the tour are factory visits to some of the biggest names in cycling, including SRAM, Tektro and Merida, and some brands you might not know, like A-Pro and Sunrise; all vital cogs in the Bike Industry and in the Taiwanese Economy.

Our reporter, Chris Keller-Jackson has lots of experience of these events, and has worked freelance in the bike industry as a photo journalist and product tester for over 20 years. He has a Degree in Production and Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Computer Integrated Manufacturing which gives him great insight into the factory processes and Taiwan’s expansive use of the Toyota Production System and Total Quality Management techniques. With this know how we will be providing a series of key insights into the workings of Far-Eastern manufacturing and trade.

Chris will be using Instagram to provide social media content during the week long event from his account @crankphoto, so be sure to give him a follow for exclusive insights.
