Forest secures renewed B Corp certification with improved sustainability performance

London eBike operator Forest has secured renewed B Corp certification, demonstrating that it meets the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.

In the latest certification, valid through to December 2028, Forest achieved a score of 99. In 2022, the company was first certified with a score of 98.5. Forest said the result reflects its approach to governance, its commitment to stakeholders and its positive impact on communities and the environment.

“Renewing our B Corp certification reinforces our founding mission to build a micromobility company that is considerate of the planet, its people and the communities we operate in,” said Laura Elms, VP of Communications and Sustainability at Forest. “Sustainability guides every decision we make, from reducing emissions across London to creating accessible, affordable transport for Londoners. We will continue to innovate and evolve to remain London’s most sustainable eBike operator.”

Forest currently operates a fleet of 20,000 bikes across 18 London boroughs. The company recorded several record-breaking months in 2025, with riders travelling more than 47 million kilometres to date and saving over 2,160 tonnes of CO₂.

The latest reporting period also marked Forest’s largest annual reduction in CO₂ emissions to date, with a 53% cut in its overall carbon footprint compared with 2024. To achieve this, the company implemented several measures, including purchasing second-hand, unused eBikes to reduce resource consumption at the start of the supply chain.

Forest also reduced its purchase of new bike parts by introducing a repair programme led by its in-house research and development teams. As a result, 75% of bike parts are now repaired, refurbished and reused.

Last year, Forest announced that it had expanded its Cycle to Work Scheme by adding Enjoy Benefits as a new partner. Enjoy Benefits is an employee benefits partner for companies. This partnership aims to help employees across London “adopt transport methods that are more sustainable, ease road congestion and promote healthier lifestyles”.
