Frog kids City bike goes global

In response to the growing demand for children’s city bikes, Frog Bikes has extended its recent launch of Frog City bike worldwide.

After launching City bikes in 9 European locations at the start of July 2022, Frog Bikes saw unprecedented demand for the new kids’ City bikes in other EU countries, the UK, Ireland, Canada, the USA and beyond. As a result, these urban bikes will be available worldwide from 22 August 2022.

Jim Whitehead, Head of Sales at Frog Bikes stated “We are thrilled that Frog City bikes have been so widely popular around the world, with so many countries expressing interest in stocking them, we simply couldn’t wait until Spring 2023 for their release. Having carefully considered the needs of stockists and consumers, we have amended production schedules to bring forward the launch date and respond to them as soon as possible. Fortunately, with the support of a fantastic team and much work behind the scenes, today we are excited to be able to launch the City bikes globally, just in time for many kids going back to school.”

City bikes offer an upright ergonomic seating position, an easy-to-mount step-through frame, 8-speed derailleur gears, and city accessories to support school commutes and leisurely rides.

The unisex kids’ City bike range, which includes the Frog City 53, 61 and 67, is designed for daily use, providing the ultimate urban bikes for children to commute to school or leisurely explore the city at their own pace. Available in sizes 20″, 24″ and 26″ and three stylish colours, black, teal and pink, to suit children aged 5 to 12.

Jerry Lawson, Co-founder of Frog Bikes commented “Frog’s new City bike range has been in development for some years, born through a combination of listening to our stores and consumers and our continued mission of getting more kids on bikes and promoting active and green travel.”

In December of 2021 the Welsh bicycle manufacturer announced a significant growth in export sales, prompting the business to increase headcount by “more than a third” going into 2022.
