GasGas ECC gets WP X DVO suspension, and SRAM Eagle Powertrain

Given the motorcycle pedigree of GasGas, a collaboration with motorcycle suspension gurus WP and mountain bike suspension specialists DVO should come as no surprise.

At launch the GasGas ECC has already clocked up a year of UCI E-Enduro World Cup racing, with the team a regular on the podium with a bike featuring a full carbon fibre frame, powered by the SRAM Eagle Powertrain.

The ECC 6 tops a 3 bike range, with the same carbon frame, including size-specific rear triangle, found on the ECC 4 and ECC 5, with bikes are offered in S/M, M/L, L/XL sizes.

For those hankering after the full UCI E-Enduro World Cup racing spec, it’s the ECC 6 which comes equipped with totally new WP suspension developed in partnership with DVO. The 170mm travel, 38mm diameter, fork features renowned cone valve technology by WP together with DVO hardware, while a WP coil rear shock takes care of business at the back end.

The ECC 6 and ECC 5 both feature a new player in mountain bike suspension. DVO powered by WP is a unique collaboration between two established entities from different backgrounds of MTB and moto, whilst the ECC 4 is paired with RockShox suspension.

Power!

Much has already been written about the SRAM Eagle Powertrain, paired with SRAM Eagle Transmission drivetrain, so its here that we’ll let a certain Mr G. Kesteven do the riding, and the talking.

As a global product launch, GASGAS dealers will have the first deliveries of the ECC before the end of 2023, with worldwide availability in the first months of 2024. The new ECC will also be available in North America in spring 2024.

For UK retailers, many will also be aware that DVO suspension is part of the Windwave product portfolio.
