International Cargo Bike Festival partners World of eMobility for October event

The 2022 International Cargo Bike Festival (ICBF) will take place between 27-29th October, for the first time coming in tandem with the World of eMobility in a bid to create a unique and large scale event with conferences attached.

This means that the formerly announced ‘Covid safe’ event set for May 6th to 8th is now replaced. This decision comes in the face of the Netherlands removing restrictions that now make a full scale physical event possible.

Jos Sluijsmans, Director of the ICBF said: “We’re putting together a programme of speakers and side events (such as – we hope – cargo bike racing) – more information on that when it’s available. And that’s not all: to support the festival, we are also publishing the ICBF Magazine 2022 in early October.”

Held at the EXPO Harlemmermeer, an easily accessible venue from Amsterdam Schipol airport, the event will host a huge indoor test track, exhibition space, plus a cargo bike conference.

For those who have not yet heard of World of eMobility, the hybrid B2B/B2C trade show debuted in 2021 with a view to providing a platform for all things electric, including electric cars, scooters and trucks. The cargo bike element provided by the International Cargo Bike Festival organisers will illustrate to a broad visitor base what can be achieved by bicycle.

Bringing forward his multi-decade cargo bike market experience, Jos Sluijsmans is soon to be a guest on CyclingIndustry.News’ Podcast series, for which you can catch prior episodes here.
