Kask launches aero helmet evolution Utopia Y

Kask has announced the launch of the Utopia Y, introduced as an evolution of the original 2018 Utopia aero helmet concept.

Where the principal characteristics of the original Utopia were aimed at optimising aerodynamics and ventilation, those elements continue to play a central role in this restyled incarnation, making it an essential helmet for triathlons and road races where speed is of the essence.

The design evolution sees the Utopia Y also deliver improved comfort, due to its Resistex Carbon padding – a breathable material that allows the dissipation of moisture to the outer shell. This feature has now been added to the front of the helmet to provide an optimal fit, even during the most demanding of rides.

Also introduced on the Utopia Y, the OCTOFIT+ adjustment system, which Kask states provides greater comfort and stability. This new retention system envelops a wider area across the nape of the neck and encompasses a larger rotation dial which is coated in a special rubber to offer increased grip, ergonomics and ease of use.

Available in a wide variety of colours, from traditional White Matt, White Shine, Black Matt and Black Shine to more striking Oxford Blue, Red and Grey, the Utopia Y weighing in at just 260 grams (in size M).

As is standard for all KASK products, the Utopia Y was designed in accordance with the KASK Rotational Impact WG11 Test, an internal testing regime that measures the helmet’s performance when subjected to rotational impacts.
