Kiddimoto launches new full-face IKON Helmet

Kiddimoto has launched its newest market-leading product, the IKON Helmet, claiming it is the first extremely lightweight, full-face helmet of its kind.

The IKON Helmet is specifically designed for children between the ages of two and 12 years old, and can be used for cycling, scooting, BMX-ing and skateboarding.

IKON helmetThe helmet is made from high-grade EPS with an immoulded poly-carbonate shell, weighing as little as 270g. It has a detachable chin guard with a patented locking mechanism that features a one-click release. Featuring 12 vents integrated into the helmet’s design helps riders to keep cool, while the integrated visor keeps sun and water out of the eyes.

Simon Booth, former Dragon’s Den contestant and Kiddimoto founder, said: “The IKON helmet gives an insight into all the kid-centric thinking we put into every new product we bring to market.  It gives just a taste of the level of thought and detail that’s gone into our exciting IKON children’s pedal bike which is coming out next year.

“The reaction we’ve had to the helmet from kids at the Bike Show has been amazing, we got a real buzz out of seeing them make a beeline to try it on and we’ve taken a lot of pre-orders. Loads of people have told us they’ve been looking for a helmet like this, but until now, the only option was to buy a small full-face adult helmet which is much heavier.”

Available in small and medium, the helmet also features adjustable padding giving a secure fit every time. With four colourway options, the helmet will retail at £64.99.

The first stock will be available in the UK from 5 November, so please contact Joe Quinn via email, or phone (01749 871175) or go to www.kiddimoto.co.uk.
