London-based production company La Pédale has announced the launch of a new monthly cycling show, The Bunnyhop, with a fresh take on the women’s pro peloton.
Originally launching on IGTV on Instagram @thebunnyhop_cc and The Bunnyhop Youtube channel, the show offers race highlights, studio analysis and original rider features.
The first episode features presenter Rebecca Charlton and pundits Molly Weaver and Rose Manley, with insight into Trofeo Binda, Strade Bianche and De Panne. The episode also features an exclusive interview with Lizzy Banks as she takes listeners on a hilly tour of her native Sheffield. Additionally, there is an interview with the American national champ Ruth Winder.
Rose Manley, The Bunnyhop’s Executive Producer, said: “The time really felt right to launch a show we’ve been planning for a while now. Having been involved in the production of professional cycling content for many years, it was glaringly obvious to us that there was a scarcity of women’s specific content, and we wanted to address that by bringing cycling fans a fresh new voice. I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved already, and can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
Rebecca Charlton, Presenter, said: “I’m thrilled to be part of The Bunnyhop. Having raced from an early age myself, I understand the importance of role models having a direct channel to the fans, and for the sport to be treated with professional and insightful coverage it deserves. I want to see the sport continue to reach wider audiences and for in-depth analysis of the women’s professional peloton to be readily available.”
