MMR unveils AELION & AELION SL

Spain’s MMR has unveiled the new Aelion family, channelling its road racing heritage into a bike engineered to perform, so said the press statement.

Forged in elite competition and proven by the Caja Rural–Seguros RGA team in demanding races like the Vuelta a España, the Aelion is set to play a key role in their Tour de France debut. MMR said: “Pro riders are already highlighting its exceptional responsiveness and balance, confirming that versatility is now more than ever a true competitive advantage.”

The Aelion SL takes performance even further, built with Toray 1100 carbon, the frameset sheds 300 g while increasing torsional stiffness, delivering superior efficiency and responsiveness without compromising stability or control.

For UK consumers, the MMR Aelion range begins at £2,799 for the Aelion 50 equipped with Shimnao 105 and tops out at £9,499 for the featherweight Aelion SL 00 equipped with Sram Red AXS.

MMR bikes are already available to UK dealers, through their UK Ltd company, with direct distribution from the MMR factory in Aviles, Spain. MMR and Le Tour

As noted above, with team Caja Rural-Seguros RGA, MMR will be on the start line of the Tour de France for the first time. MMR Bikes has worked in close partnership with the 26 rider team since 2022, but its top tier pedigree extends much further back – to the late ’90s and a long pedigree of sporting success including Olympic medals.

Many of MMR’s newest models, including the Adrenaline SL, are developed in conjunction with riders like Fernando Gaviria, Abel Balderstone and Stefano Oldano. Feedback arrives directly to MMR‘s product designers, led by Chechu Rubiera, a former pro cyclist himself.

Starting from £5,499 and topping out at £8,799, the Adrenaline SL range, which was launched this month, features team replica bikes with genuine pro-tour features and heritage. MMR develops all of its proprietary frames in-house, then selects from top global suppliers the most appropriate production process for each model. Each model goes through a rigorous 3-Step testing process, meaning a Lifetime Guarantee can be offered.
