Mobility event MOVE scheduled for February 2021

Mobility Event MOVE has announced dates for its next show, returning to the London ExCel between 9-10 February 2021.

According to organisers, the last show saw 5,018 mobility professionals attend, of which 61% were C-level, Vice President and Director level, or higher. 800 speakers shared their knowledge and expertise from 17 stages at the event.

One panel discussion hosted by smart vehicle sharing system Vaimoo honed in on the role of bicycle and scooter sharing in cities, and both the benefits and the challenges associated with integrating shared systems into local networks.

At the forefront of the active mobility presence of the previous MOVE show was the Cyclist Behaviour Panel: Factors Driving Change, chaired by CI.N’s Mark Sutton, which put cyclist behaviour on debate; what is motivating the rise in active mobility, are people warming up to electrified modes of this, and whether active mobility is becoming a priority on our roads, are among some of the questions to be debated during the panel.

Stakeholders present at the mobility event included: Government, regulators and planning development agencies (14%), automotive supply chain (15%), technology and communications (14%), Transport operators (13%), road and highway operators (7%), construction, infrastructure and design (7%), aerospace and aviation (2%), logistics and supply chain (9%), energy and electricity (14%), venture capitalists and investors (5%).

For 2021, the event is aiming to double those numbers to 10,000 attendees, 1,000 speakers, 300 exhibitors and 350 start-ups.
