Momentum continues for Sea Otter Europe 2024 with exhibitor sign up and CONEBI deal
The cycling exhibition scene is not immune to the difficulties experienced by the rest of the industry, but the welcome news is that the momentum seems to still be with Sea Otter Europe.
An offshoot of the also consistently popular Sea Otter Classic in North America, Sea Otter Europe 2024 has seen its planned exhibition space reserved the fastest yet this time around, as well as the most square metres available for the show yet. Previous exhibitors had the first bite of the cherry and now the organisers have thrown the books open to new brands wishing to partake in the Girona-set show.
CIN’s previous visits to the show judged it to have successfully juggled the consumer and industry elements. 2023 – the 7th edition of the show – saw more than 64,000 visitors of 112 nationalities over the three days. There were over 400 exhibiting brands and a total of 525 demo bikes, with more than 4,200 test bookings from 50 different bike brands.
The 8th edition of Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava Girona by Continental and the Euro Mobility Festival 2024 will fun over 20-22 September 2024.
The festival will this year have some extra visibility due to a partnership agreed with CONEBI, which AMBE is a member of. International association CONEBI unites national brands associations in 15 European countries, including the Spanish Brands and Bicycles Association (AMBE) which itself represents more than 80 associated and partner companies. Perhaps indicating a further consolidation of Sea Otter Europe’s industry credential, the move will see Manuel Marsilio, Director General of CONEBI and Jesús Freire, Secretary General of AMB, attend as guests of the show.
