Orbea Kemen SUV and Kemen e-bikes launched
For rural and urban riding Orbea has launched the Kemen SUV and Kemen e-bikes, powered by the Shimano EP8 motor.
The Kemen SUV comes equipped with a 29×2.35” tyre sporting a more aggressive tread pattern, ensuring good grip in a variety of conditions, and a rack with a shorter and wider design, incorporating a fender to stop mud. The rack, designed for use on rougher roads, supports loads up to 27kg, including large loads or a baby seat.
With 2 Kemen SUV models – SUV 10 and SUV 30 – both featuring a 100mm suspension fork, the SUV 10 also has an Orbea OC dropper post, with drop sized specific to the frame.

The Kemen, also available in 2 models – 10 and 30 – is designed for speed and comfort in urban and city travel, comes equipped with longer fenders to ensure cyclists don’t get wet or dirty. It also incorporates a lightweight rack with ample mounting points and load options of up to 18kg — ideal for transporting anything around the city.
To ensure speed on the streets and the best grip even on the worst roads, Kemen features wide, 29×2.25” tyres specifically designed for this purpose.
Both the Kemen SUV and the Kemen are offered in a Top Bar and Mid Bar frame configuration.

Motor, battery, and range
- Powered by the Shimano EP8 Motor, which delivers 85Nm of torque
- Paired with a 540 Wh battery offering up to 5 hours of ride time.
- This can be extended further with the option of mounting a 252 Wh Range Extender.
To charge both batteries, the internal battery or the Range Extender, it is only necessary to use Orbea’s smart charger. This charger extends the life of the battery up to 30% by adapting the charge to 2 or 4 amps based on different factors such as temperature, the state of the cells or the number of charge cycles consumed.
Orbea’s Rider Connect program enables customers to find their nearest store with Kemen SUV and Kemen in stock, and reserve a bike. Those who purchase a Kemen will also receive a 10% discount on the 252 Wh Range Extender, and the first 100 people to register their bike on the Orbea website will receive free saddlebags.
