PedalMe reaches out to ex-Zedify employees
The cycle logistics sector suffered a significant hit last week with the news that Zedify had gone into administration, with around 105 jobs immediately lost and potentially more dependant on whether a future for the remainder of the business be found. PedalMe has now issued a call to those who’ve lost their roles at Zedify as the business looks to fill 25 vacancies in the next month and a half.
PedalMe, an electric cargo bike courier firm, is looking for new staff including riders and other staff roles as the business grows.
“We are gutted to hear about Zedify’s administration process,” PedalMe Founder Ben Knowles told Cycling Industry News. “We are mobilising to help as many Zedify staff as possible into work as quickly as possible – we are growing rapidly following making big changes to our business over the last year, and will be able to make space for 25 new people within our business over the next six weeks as demand takes off.
“Interested staff should apply through our website (as riders) or reach out to me on [email protected] (for other roles).”
Today, Zedify Co-Founder Rob King posted on LinkedIn that Zedify’s administration was “a founder’s worst nightmare“, apologising to staff, supporters, investors and customers: “We have shown that cyclelogistics works at a local level… champions like Christopher Benton, Ben Knowles and many others [are] ensuring cycle logistics has an enduring future. It may not be Zedify as pioneers but others will continue where we left off and ensure our cities get what they deserve. Thank you and sorry.”
