Pragmasis is back: Relaunched brand with new owners and vision

High security anti-theft specialist Pragmasis is embarking on a new chapter under new ownership, heralding “the dawn of a new and exciting era”.

Pragmasis had a difficult 2024, announcing almost a year ago that it was planning to wind down production.

Now, under new ownership, the company is introducing an ambitious product development strategy, with existing flagship products in active production, and new products underway.

While the ownership structure has changed, the company’s core expertise and values remain intact. Founder Steve Briggs and his brother David continue in key advisory roles, with Steve applying his long-standing experience to help guide Pragmasis’ manufacturing and new development. David oversees customer support, ensuring continuity, quality and the same trusted service that customers have relied on for over a decade.

Pragmasis Engineering Limited will continue the design, testing and production of some of the UK’s most trusted security anchors, chains, and locks. The company remains committed to serving the cycling and motorcycling communities, business clients, and public sector organisations with industry-leading physical security products.

“Our customers can rest assured: our existing product range, including the best-selling Protector Chains, RoundLock and Torc ground anchors are back in production,” said new owner and Director, Ben Cope. “Steve and David are staying closely involved, and we’re working hard to build on our reputation for innovation, quality, and reliability, including introducing some exciting new products.”

New product development is underway, with the first wave of innovations expected to launch later this year. These additions will extend the company’s reach into broader applications of physical security, informed by customer feedback and product development.
