Riese & Müller co-founder Heiko Müller to step down from management

Riese & Müller co-founder Heiko Müller will leave the company’s management team in July.

In a statement, the company confirmed that Müller will step down from management on 31 July 2026. Following his departure, CEO and shareholder Sandra Wolf will assume overall responsibility for Riese & Müller and represent the company within the management team.

Wolf will be supported by an additional Managing Director from 1 August 2026.

“Riese & Müller has always been far more than just a company to me. It was an opportunity to work with great people to transform ideas into reality and to contribute to more sustainable mobility,” said Müller. “A new chapter with new responsibilities is now beginning for me. As an active shareholder, I will remain closely connected to my life’s work. I will focus on long-term development and on safeguarding our family-owned company at our site in Germany.”

The company’s other co-founder, Markus Riese, stepped back from management in 2022. With Müller’s departure, the company’s founding generation will have fully relinquished its operational responsibilities.

Müller and Riese founded Riese & Müller in 1993. Over the past three decades, the company has grown to employ around 700 people and works with approximately 1,400 dealers worldwide.

Looking ahead, the company stated that it will continue on its current path with a strong management team, a dedicated leadership team and employees, and a clear strategic direction. It also reaffirmed its commitment to developing innovative mobility solutions and actively shaping the future of cycling.
