Saddleback and Stages Cycling offer factory fit program to UK customers

Saddleback will now offer a Stages Cycling factory fit of the Gen 3 power meter to a customer’s existing crank in the UK and Ireland.

In response to raw materials and product being thin on the ground the duo will move to help customers keep costs down and make a power meter upgrade with a four to six week turnaround. The service will cost the consumer from £299, depending on the crank that requires the work.

All factory installs are assembled at Stages Cycling’s own Boulder, Colorado facility. As with any new power crank, each power meter will be individually calibrated and tracked to ensure that it will offer consistent, reliable power data for years to come. Your customer’s Stages Power unit will also be backed by a Stages Factory Warranty.

The first shipment to Stages from Saddleback will be Feb 28, so you will need to get the crank and returns number to Saddleback by Feb 25. Bike shops wishing to offer this service to their customers can arrange it with their account manager.

The process

  1. Contact the Saddleback Customer Service team at stagessupport@saddleback.co.uk or on 01454 285285.
  2. Confirm your crank, the model and send images of the crank to the Saddleback Customer Service team. Once this information has been received, you’ll be supplied a returns number.
  3. Send the crank to Saddleback, along with the returns number, at the address supplied by the Customer Service team by the 25th of that month at the latest.
  4. Please note, a shipment will be sent out from Saddleback to Stages Cycling on the 28th of every month. The crank must be with Saddleback by the 25th for processing to guarantee being included on the shipment leaving on the 28th.
  5. Saddleback will aim to return the crank to you within four to six weeks, starting from the 28th of the month in which it was received. The first shipment to Stages from Saddleback will be Feb 28th, so your customer will need to get the crank and returns number to the distributor by Feb 25th.
