Cube debuts Bosch powered folding eBike
In the cycling as transport marketplace folding bikes have always held significant appeal, especially for commuters. A folding eBike has, however, proven an altogether harder nut to crack. Step forward Cube and the all new Fold Hybrid.

The German bike manufacturer set out to design a new foldable Bosch eBike, with the aim to set new standards for flexibility, mobility and functionality. With Bosch power and practical Cube design, the brand understandably feels it has delivered an indispensable companion for the modern traveller, city explorer, and a host of others looking to new mobility solutions that an eBike offers.
The Fold Hybrid’s design features a clever folding mechanism, and an integrated carry handle, make it easy to put on the train, in the boot of the car, in storage at home – an absolute essential ticked for those looking to make the shift to an eBike for a wide variety of daily uses.
For both riders and retailers, The flexible One Size Concept makes the bike so versatile that it can be used by any number of people – irrespective of their height. Both saddle and stem are easily adjustable, up or down, to suit any rider from around 1.60m to 1.90m – making the bike easy to share between family members, colleagues at work, partners, friends, and neighbours alike, delivering a comfortable ride courtesy of an upright riding position and step-through frame.
Motor power
The Fold Hybrid is equipped with a Bosch Performance drive unit and a Bosch PowerPack 500 battery, ensuring a smooth, efficient, rides, along with plenty of motor assisted power, whether riders are cruising through a city or tackling hills. For many, the Bosch motor will also signal reliability and performance to reach any destination with ease.
Drive train options
Paired with the Bosch motor and battery are 2 Shimano drive train options: The simple, tough and almost maintenance-free 5-speed Nexus hub gears, paired with Gates belt Drive, or the wide range of Shimano’s easy-to-use 10-speed gears.
Accessories
As standard, the Fold Hybrid includes mudguards, a really stable kickstand, and a sturdy rear carrier. An optional front carrier, plus a wide range of bags, and baskets that attach quickly and simply via innovative mechanisms – make it easy to tailor the bike for individual needs.
