SCOTT Sports appoints Chief Growth Officer

SCOTT Sports has appointed Matt Heitmann as its first Chief Growth Officer.

In his new role, Heitmann will oversee marketing and digital functions from the company’s headquarters in Givisiez, Switzerland. SCOTT Sports said the appointment reflects its “continued commitment to supporting its teams, strengthening its brand presence and adapting to the evolving needs of today’s marketplace.”

Heitmann brings extensive international industry experience, having held leadership roles at Backcountry (US), BMC (Switzerland) and Canyon (Germany). Before this appointment, he most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer for SCOTT USA.

SCOTT Sports said this combination of global experience and firsthand knowledge of the brand gives him a unique perspective to drive the company’s next phase of growth.

“Matt’s appointment as CGO represents an important step in our long-term strategy,” said Pascal Ducrot, co-CEO of SCOTT Sports. “His international experience and understanding of SCOTT will complement the exceptional work already being done by our teams worldwide.”

Prior to this appointment, CMO Reto Aeschbacher led SCOTT’s global marketing efforts for nearly three decades. Aeschbacher will remain with the company until the end of September 2025 to ensure continuity and a smooth transition.

“The pace of change in our industry is accelerating. To thrive, companies must embrace new technologies and respond to the evolving expectations of customers,” said Heitmann. “My focus will be to build on that legacy—ensuring we meet our customers where they are, strengthening our digital and brand positioning, and supporting our dealer network with a thoughtful multichannel approach.”
