Silca launches bike care range
Silca has announced the launch of their Bicycle Spa range of performance bike care products, which takes in 4 simple steps, with 4 distinct products, targeting specific elements of your post ride bike care.
Step 1 is to get into the nitty-gritty of your pride and joy with the Ultimate Brake and Drivetrain Cleaner. This fast-acting, Cinnamon-smelling solution is sprayed directly onto your groupset and brakes, left for a few minutes, wait for it to turn a reddish-purple and then rinse off. This Fireball scented spray cuts through brake dust and chain grime without damaging paint or the components. Step 1 leaves your bike streak free, squeak free, and primed for Step 2.
Step 2 introduces a full body soak for your bike, the Ultimate Bike Wash, a cherry scented bubble bath perfect for a bucket and sponge, or, if you’re really fancy, a foaming hose attachment! Get your brushes and sponges involved and this wonderfully gentle wash will prise dirt, mud and grime from every painted surface of the frame, encapsulating it so that it won’t leave micro scratches, swirl marks or a film as you rinse the surfactant off. Once rinsed, leave your bike to air dry and it’s on to Step 3.
Step 3 and your bicycles’ spa experience is almost at a close. This step introduces your noble steed to the Ultimate Graphene Spray Wax. This protective, canary yellow graphene wax formula bears a tangy, sweet lime Margarita scent…! Cinnamon, Cherry and Margarita… the Ultimate Graphene Spray Wax, will form an invisible, hydrophobic barrier over your clean frame, keeping grit, pollutants and grime away while guarding against sun fade – just don’t spray it on your brakes; because the ability to stop isn’t overrated!
For the best finish, spray onto a microfibre cloth, rub vigorously onto your frame, let it dry for a few minutes and then buff with another clean cloth. Now you have a hydrophobic graphene oxide coating protecting your paintwork with glossy veneer which lasts for up to 3 months!
And last, but by no means least Step 4
Step 4 introduces Piña Colada notes with the Ultimate Ceramic Waterless Wash. Yes, a waterless wash, perfect for bikes on the road where a hose pipe is a little difficult to come by. Designed as a daily top-up, this eco-cleaner will help you to recapture that just-scrubbed sparkle after your ride. Just spray the bright blue polymeric surfactant solution, with its fruity aromas, everywhere but the drivetrain and brake rotors, wipe the dirt and grime off with the slippery film the spray creates and finally buff with a clean cloth. Best used as part of the Bicycle Spa set, this hydrophobic formula, infused with silicone dioxide ceramic wax, will gently cleanse your bike without scratching the paintwork and form a micron-thick protective layer to keep it looking like new.
