SRAM launches, “Riding Into the Digital Age: Wireless Connectivity in Cycling”
Sram has launched it’s next short film; “Riding Into the Digital Age.” And whilst the brand acknowledges that electronics typically aren’t the first thing that come to mind when riders think “bicycle”, wireless connectivity is, undenyably, a growing part of all our lives, on and off the bike.
The brand points out that where wireless connectivity has improved our lives and given us more freedom, it makes sense that we also see those benefits on our bikes. Whilst they are keen to point out they’ve only begun to scratch the surface of what is possible, working with a raft of industry partners has seen digital connectivity already improve and simplifying rides, helping both new and seasoned cyclists feel more confident and comfortable to explore their own boundaries in the ever-expanding world of cycling.
This follows a week in which the brand also announced it’s partnership with Women in Sports Tech (WiST). The partnership will promote and increase opportunities and representation of women in cycling, including electronics, app development, and engineering.
