Swissstop ups production capacity to over 1 million pads per year

Braking goods manufacturer Swissstop has invested to increase its production capacity, now expected to reach one million pads per annum.

“We look forward to the further development of Swissstop products and the production at this new facility here in Mendrisio,” Sales Manager Hubert Gmür told SazBike.

Expected to reduce the lead times in getting new pads to market, the investment in machinery brings forward automated production lines covering an area of 500 square metres.

Swissstop is part of the Borflex-Rex group, a specialist manufacturing platform with expertise in elastic materials, rubber and thermoplastics, among other materials. Bike shops in the UK have access to the brand’s goods via accessories distributor Extra UK.
