The Electric Bike Shop takes on Flag Bikes of Battersea

Quickly following a four store portfolio increase attributed to taking on Pure Electric retail locations, The Electric Bike Shop has further announced the takeover of Flag Bikes of Battersea.

Flag Bikes has been open at 324 Battersea Park Road since 2014, putting the store on a road that carries London Cycle Superhighway 8 toward the city centre. Having been voted one of Cycling Weekly reader’s favourite bike shops in a 2017 survey, the shop is flanked by lots of local development.

Karl Haden, The Electric Bike Shop CEO said of the opening, that took place on Friday: “We will be selling a fantastic range of electric bikes and eCargo bikes from leading brands and addressing the servicing needs of all local cyclists within our state-of-the-art workshop.

“This is our first in the capital. We can think of no better place to enter the London market and introduce our brand to a new audience.”

The buyout of the business added four more jobs for the retail chain, which is now one of the UK’s larger retail chains.

Last week the announcement of four additional stores on the sites of former Pure Electric stores gave the business premises in Cardiff, Glasgow, Southampton and Gateshead.
