UK bike shops invited to take part in Cycling Industry News 2024 Market Data

Cycling Industry News is once again inviting UK-based independent bike retailers to participate in our Market Data drive, together with 2024 Data Partners Madison and Taipei Cycle Show.

Now in its seventh year, CIN’s annual research regularly gleans insights into the cycle market, but this year’s Market Data will document and provide insights into perhaps the most turbulent period for the industry yet.

The market has been enduring multiple headwinds and seen businesses including distributors, significant retailers and others either fall into administration and close, or be saved via acquisition. Fully understanding and appraising the state of the market has, arguably, never been more important.

Cycling Industry News Editor Jonathon Harker said: “Data and insights into the UK cycle market have come a long way over the last decade or so and we’re proud that CIN’s data, initiated by my predecessor Mark Sutton, has become an important part of that mix, helping provide useful and insightful data to the market. The cycle trade is not short of savvy or shrewd minds, but having data to help benchmark and sanity check results and objectives is an inordinately useful tool to have in the market’s arsenal, not least at a time like this.”

By way of thanks for taking part, participating retailers will be entered into a prize draw to win a stay at The Mariners Hotel in Lyme Regis. Participating retailers will once again have access to the full report when it is completed in Q1 2024.

To take part, head here.

Once more, the study is open only to UK-based independent bike shops, workshops, mobile mechanics and online outfits. All data gathered will be, as always, anonymised for the purpose of the report and subsequent articles detailing the market’s progress.

If you have any questions, please email the editor here. The completed Cycling Industry News 2024 Market Data will become available to purchase later in Q1 2024.
