Wheel brand E.Dubied & Co revived, retailers sought

Historic cycle wheel label E.Dubied & Co has been revived for the 2022 model year, returning to the market a brand that has roots stretching back as far as 1867.

All that time ago, Edouard Dubied founded a mechanical engineering company in the canton of Neuchâtel in Switzerland. Today it is Stefan Anton taking charge, a German bike industry professional whose most recent engagement was the management of EDCO’s operational business.

In the process of working in the wheel business Stefan learned a lot about the company E.Dubied & Co, which originally founded the brand.

“I’m fascinated by the inventive spirit and the uncompromising focus on product quality with which Edouard Dubied and his descendants successfully manufactured bicycle parts for decades,” says Stefan Anton.

His appreciation for the achievements of the industrial pioneer gave rise to the desire to continue this business philosophy. To make this possible, Anton now dares to take the step into self-employment. With his company 1two1 GmbH & Co KG, based in Bremen (Germany), he now becomes responsible for the quality of the products that are now coming onto the market under the revived name E.Dubied & Co.

Anton is building an international sales and service network for specialist retailers that will steer the brand in individual markets. At the same time, E.Dubied & Co. are working on new products that should ensure that the traditional name will stand out again among today’s cyclists as it did in its prime.

Wheels and components for racing bikes and gravel bikes are now available at edubied.com, for anyone wishing to take an early look at the product.
