YT confirms ongoing support for DECOY SN despite Porsche eBike Performance closure

After the board at Porsche HQ decided to cull Porsche eBike Performance GmbH earlier this year, 500 employees were left jobless as part of the company’s “strategic realignment”. It also placed a deal of uncertainty for bike brands and their customers using Porsche eBike tech and the Porsche-owned FAZUA drive systems.

This week, YT confirmed its “ongoing support” for existing and future DECOY SN customers.

YT Director of Global Marketing Isac Paddock said: “The DECOY SN remains a product that YT stands behind, with its on-trail performance speaking louder than words and serving as the blueprint for what is now the DECOY X – its latest Avinox M2S-equipped E-MTB. During the development of the SN, the FAZUA Ride 60 motor stood out for its natural assistance, and while this closure comes as a blow, YT aims to back DECOY SN customers for years to come.”

Those needing support will find the YT service process remains in part, and parts will continue to be available directly though the FAZUA dealer network… “ensuring customers see no disruption to their warranty coverage”.
