AiRO reaches 25 countries and surpasses 1,000 monthly simulations

AiRO has expanded to 25 countries and territories in its first year, recording more than 1,000 aerodynamic simulations per month over the past three months.

An AI-powered aerodynamic fitting platform, AiRO brings AI-CFD aerodynamic modelling into the fit studio, making performance data more accessible. AiRO creates a personalised 3D Digital Aero Twin of each rider using uploaded photos and key rider information. From there, approved fitters can evaluate a rider’s current position, test adjustments, compare equipment choices such as helmets, and use computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to understand how those changes may affect drag, CdA, watts saved and speed.

For fitters, AiRO adds another layer of performance insight to the bike-fitting process. For riders, it provides a clearer understanding of how their position and equipment choices can affect speed. The goal is not to replace the expertise of a professional fitter, but to provide fitters with a practical tool to test ideas, validate changes and demonstrate measurable results to riders.

In contrast, traditional aerodynamic testing requires access to a wind tunnel, a specialised testing facility or a significant travel budget.

AiRO’s approved fitter network now reaches riders in the UK, the US, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain and Switzerland, among other countries.

“Being available in 25 countries and territories, with more than 100 approved fitters, shows that we are on the right track. Riders want to get faster, and fitters want better tools to help them find and demonstrate those speed gains,” said Ingmar Jungnickel, founder of AiRO.

Over the past three months, the company has exceeded 1,000 aerodynamic simulations per month. Moving forward, AiRO will continue to expand its approved fitter network and is actively speaking with additional fitters, coaches, performance centres, teams and national-level programmes interested in bringing AI-CFD aerodynamic testing to their riders and clients.

“Looking ahead, we want to continue growing our approved fitter network and expand our partnerships with teams and performance programmes around the world,” said Jungnickel. “At the same time, we will continue refining the AiRO platform to make it even faster at producing simulation data. Exceeding 1,000 simulations in a single month demonstrates the demand for the platform, and our goal is to help fitters, teams, coaches and riders test more ideas and find speed faster.”
