Belgium eBike manufacturer Cowboy appoint new Chief Supply Chain Officer

Cowboy, the Brussels, Belgium headquartered eBike brand, has announced the appointment of Oliver Barleben as Chief Supply Chain Officer.

Oliver will be responsible for the global supply chain of all Cowboy products, ensuring product quality and overseeing planning, procurement, manufacturing and logistics. As part of the leadership team he will play a vital role in the development and long term strategy of the business.

Oliver joins Cowboy with deep experience in supply chain excellence and procurement, having most recently served as Global Business Process Owner at Philips. During his tenure of nearly two decades with the company, Oliver also held leadership roles including VP of Procurement and Head of Procurement Governance, where he developed their award-winning Procurement Risk Management process.

This hire of Oliver Barleben comes just after Cowboy became the first e-bike company to achieve B Corp status in December 2022. With a high score of 89.5 points, Cowboy was commended for its continuous improvement and determination for long-lasting value for their communities, workers, suppliers, environment and customers.

In 2022 Cowboy became the first e-bike maker to achieve B-corp status. Cowboy now has customers in more than 2,500 towns and cities across Europe and the US, completing more than 1 million rides per month. In 2022 the business secured 2 rounds of investor funding, facing down operating cost challenges.
