Bell Sports recalls Giro Merit helmets

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Bell Sports is voluntarily recalling its Giro Merit helmets.

The issue relates to the possibility of helmet straps dethatching from the main shell when pulled lightly, thus making the helmet potentially unfit for protection in the event of a crash. Thus far the brand has not noted any incidents related to the failure, but is acting out of caution to replace faulty stock in the market.

Giro Merit helmets manufactured prior to January 2023 are affected and as such stockists and customers are urged to make contact with the brand in order to receive a replacement unit.
