Boost Bikes brings in new leadership to drive grow in 2025

Boost Bikes has hired Matt Dowler, previously of Broadman Bikes, Halfords, and Lotus, as the company’s new chief marketing officer. The four-year-old British company creates safe, easy-to-fit, and reliable e-bike conversion kits. Dowler has been brought in to help scale up the company.

Nick Bailey, CEO of Boost Bikes, said: “I’m delighted to formally announce Matt is joining us as CMO, he brings a wealth of bike industry experience across Brand, Marketing and Product and will be instrumental in helping us cement Boost as the go-to provider of safe, simple e-bike conversion kits in 2025.

Bailey went on to say: “Boost have bucked the industry trend in 2024 with a successful year, showing there is strong demand from customers wanting to electrify their existing bikes, and we’re aiming to help many more people discover riding more with a safe electric “Boost” in the coming year.”

Bailey added: “As demand for active travel increases, and interest in re-use and upcycling grows, I’m fascinated by being able to convert almost any manual bike into an electric one with a safe, affordable kit. The Boost kits for full-sized bikes and for Brompton are a spectacular showcase of British engineering – they’re so simple to fit, and ride like a premium e-bike, all for a fraction of the cost of buying a complete new bike.”

Bailey concluded: “Research has suggested there are around 7 million used bikes sitting in garages across the country, so getting people to rediscover cycling whilst making use of existing resources is a very exciting proposition”.

Hiring a chief marketing officer is a tried and tested method that other companies have used to promote growth.
