Cane Creek reveal entry into front suspension with Helm

Cane Creek has quietly launched a front fork, dubbed the Helm.

A trademark filing for the product was file din May of last year, though Cane Creek brings a much deeper history in suspension tech to the table – the firm was actually involved in the design of some of the very first Rock Shox forks.

Detail on the fork is still thin on the ground, although it appears to be enduro-suited and to be available in two versions. The Launch Edition will be supplied in a shade of blue, while a toned down black will also be available.

The below video gives some clues as to features, which are expected to include high and low-speed compression, low speed rebound, air volume adjust via an 8-position internal index, both independent springs for positive and negative air and an indexed travel adjust system.

The fork is designed for optimal performance between 140 and 170mm travel, adjustable in 10mm increments from 170mm down to 100mm. Factory spec will see the Helm delivered at 160mm.

Weight looks to be sat just a little over 2kg and the price is currently listed at $1,100.
