Certini Bicycle Co takes on third Specialized concept store with Birmingham takeover

Having hit a bump in the road in January, the Birmingham Specialized Concept store has now been taken over by Certini Bicycle Co.

With existing ownership of two of Specialized’s other Concept Stores, in both Plymouth and Bristol, the Brum branch gives director Rob Carron ownership of a trio of stores under the brand banner.

He said of the acquisition: “We’re incredibly excited to be expanding our partnership with Specialized even further, through the acquisition of ‘Specialized Concept Store Birmingham’.

Tony Dare, Certini’s other Director, added: “In partnership with the brand we’re investing in the store through remerchandising, marketing and improving the rider retail experience. We want to elevate the store to new levels through excellence in service, and a comprehensive representation of products and range.”

On the acquisition, Specialized UK Managing Director, Simon Homer, said: “We’re delighted to have Rob and Tony take on ownership of the Birmingham Concept Store. They know our brand inside and out, and provide a fantastic experience to their customers and our riders.”
