CIN Live 2026 seminar previews: ACT hosts the IBD Retail Reality Check
Bike dealers will (literally) take centre stage at Cycling Industry News Live (CIN Live) 2026 for a special retailer panel discussion on the seminar stage, hosted by the Association of Cycle Traders (ACT).
It follows the popular retailer panel at last year’s show, where bike industry topics were robustly debated and forthright opinions were aired. This time around, the ACT will be again bringing together independent bike dealers to discuss the realities of running a cycle retail business in today’s market.
Hosted by Leon Mepham from the ACT, the IBD Retail Reality Check will offer a candid and practical look at the issues facing cycle retailers today. Panellists will share first-hand experiences of adapting their businesses, responding to changing consumer behaviour, improving profitability and identifying new opportunities for growth.
The discussion will also explore how initiatives such as E-Bike Positive can help retailers build consumer confidence and support the sustainable growth of the eBike market.
With an open and honest discussion at its heart, the session will highlight the key issues affecting cycle retail today, while reflecting the ACT’s ongoing work to represent independent retailers and ensure their voices are heard across the industry.
This retailer-led discussion will provide valuable insight for retailers, suppliers and industry stakeholders looking to better understand the realities of the market and the future direction of cycle retail.
Cycling Industry News Live 2026 runs 20-21 September 2026, at NAEC Stoneleigh. Visitors can pre-register for the show on the official site.
