Clarks Cycle Systems invests £0.5M in new fast track distribution facility

Clarks Cycle Systems has stepped up investment in the business with the news that it will spend £0.5 million on a new distribution centre that will shoot for sub 24-hour deliveries.

The trade-targeted facility, located at its existing HQ, will also play host to a new showroom that will give sales staff a base from which to introduce customers to the range in its entirety in a specialised space.

Enjoying a period of growth that comes on the back of strengthening the capability of the OEM side of the business, Clarks now has sales teams in Taiwan and China.

OEM production has seen a decent uptick in sales, which Bike Europe reports has placed the brand in new territories, notably India. Distributors have largely supported OEM and aftermarket business.

Targeting key price points at the lower end of the market and stacking up favourable reviews has seen the business make strong gains in the replacement and upgrade parts space. New for this year Clarks will introduce a four-piston M4; a dual-piston flat-mount mechanical brake dubbed the CMD-22 and the CMD-23, an addition that bolsters the mechanical line up.

Clarks are to introduce new ranges at Eurobike in a few week’s time on booth B1-209.
