Classified appoint Rémi Rennesson as OEM Commercial Director

Classified, the slayers of front derailleurs, have announced the appointment of former Mavic and ENVE OEM Global Commercial Director Rémi Rennesson.

The Tom Boonen back cycling innovators, founded in 2019 by CEO Mathias Plouvier, launched Powershift – an innovative 2 speed hub – after 7 years of development. The wireless shifting system, integrated in the rear hub, enables riders to change gears in a split second, under full load, and on any terrain.

Of the appointment of Rennesson, the business comments, “With his immense wealth of knowledge and expertise in the cycling industry Rémi will undoubtedly add great firepower in our quest to establish great OEM partnerships worldwide!”

In the last 12 months Classified has gained significant momentum, with the product moving from its niche gravel focused early uptake to seeing strong interest from global bike brands. During this time further high profile investors and ambassadors have come onboard in the form of none other than Former Olympic and World Champion Anna van der Breggen and multiple Grand Tour stage winners André Greipel and Marcel Kittel.

Commenting on LinkedIn about his appointment, Rennesson states, “After 14 years working for Mavic I was looking for a new challenge which would allow me coming my passion for high-end, EU made products and for building up businesses. I am happy to join Classified and this team of passionate people, who are devoted to change the course of things in bicycle drive train industry. Together with the Classified OEM Sales Team I will work towards bringing this extraordinary innovation to more riders and allow our OEM partners to make a real difference with their bikes.”

John Harris, Business Development Manager, is the UK point of contact for Classified. John comes with a wealth of UK market experience having previous worked for both Madison and Extra as a Brand Manager.
