Cube introduces Longtail Hybrid eBike

Cube has introduced a new cargo bike concept with its Longtail Hybrid – a compact cargo bike featuring an extra-long luggage carrier designed specifically to be a versatile mobility offering.

The new line-up of compact cargo bikes comes with a range of accessory options, designed for transporting children, luggage or cargo, making the Longtail Hybrid an adaptable luggage carrier, flexible to meet the needs of riders utilising an eBike in place of a car.

Cube states, with the Longtail it has taking inspiration from the classic trekking bike, morphed to deliver a stable, elongated luggage carrier, delivering load-lugging practicality which makes transporting up to 2 children, fitting a 40x60cm Eurobox, or generously sized panniers, all possible. The carrier is rated for 40kg up top and 10kg at each side to offer 60kg in total. There’s also the option to upgrade with a front rack to add a further 20kg of cargo-carrying capacity.

Power comes by way of the gen 4 Bosch Performance CX motor (85Nm), paired with a 725Wh battery. Hauling a fully laden bike to a controlled stop are Magura MT5 brakes. 2 model variants – the Longtail Sport Hybrid and the Longtail Hybrid – come with either Shimano Deore 10 speed, or Enviolo + Gates belt drive respectively.

In the UK, The Electric Bike Shop and Cube have opened a number of brand stores over, the past 12 months, including Southampton and Gloucester locations.
