Cube opens new brand Store in Southampton

Cube has announces the opening of their latest UK-based Cube Store, located in Brunswick Place, Southampton. The Southampton store is partnered with, and working alongside, The Electric Bike Shop, one of the UKs leading eBike specialist.

The Electric Bike Shop and Cube Bikes UK took over the Southampton store from Pure Electric in August this year, retaining the majority of the store colleagues and welcoming them into the Cube and TEBS family.

Bikes on display in Cube concept storeThe new Southampton store is home to over one hundred electric, non-electric and children’s bikes, as well as an extensive collection of parts and accessories from the Cube and Acid ranges. The store commands a 30-meter frontage directly opposite East Park, one of Southampton’s most outstanding green spaces and a perfect spot for taking a bike for a test ride.

The store in Southampton will be the first store in the UK to have Cube 2023 bicycles and accessories on the shop floor.”

Cube concept store till pointThe Southampton store is the first of many new Cube concept stores, with the brand planning to open up more concept stores across the country over the next 2 years. The next location to see a new Cube Store is Gloucester, scheduled to open before the end of the year, followed by Nottingham, which in the first quarter of 2023.

In 2021 the German bicycle manufacturer announced it was expanding its production site and storage warehouse, building these next its production halls in Waldershof, Germany. This enabled the brand to reduce Asia based manufacturing dependence by over 100,000 units.

2021 also saw the brand sign a multi-year sponsorship deal with triathlon superstar Lucy Charles-Barclay, who went on to win the 70.3 World Championship in her first year riding the Cube Aerium C:68 SLT.

In 2022 the brand grabbed headlines when Biniam Girmay won Gent-Wevelgem whilst riding a Cube Litening C:68X for his Intermarché – Wanty – Gobert Matériaux team.
