Cyclorise inks UK distribution deal with Ochain

Cyclorise has announced it is now the official UK distributor of Ochain, an Italian brand launched to market earlier this year which offers an ‘active’ spider.

The team behind Ochain were inspired by the chainless World Cup winning downhill run of Aaron Gwin in 2015 at Leogang. After years of development and testing, the product is now being delivered to market.

Ochain mounts to any popular direct-mount crank and replaces a normal spider. Within the device are springs and elastomers that offer adjustable float (six, nine and 12 degrees) of the chainring, therefore allowing the chain to move freely as the suspension compresses. This means the chain will not ‘tug’ at the cranks and will enable the suspension to be more active, while braking will be improved over rough terrain.

Cyclorise Owner, Thomas Dibley, said: “We’ve grown a name for ourselves by distributing niche products. However we are also growing a reputation for products that excel in terms of performance and quality. Ochain epitomises this, offering a very specific set of benefits for a specific segment of speed-focused riders.

“Our small team is thrilled to be working with this creative, forward-looking brand and we can’t wait to share more Ochain news with you soon.”

Ochain is just one of several new brands announced by Cyclorise over the past couple of months, and, according to Dibley, it appears there will be more on the way soon in line with a significant expansion plan laid out for the year ahead. Ochain is now in stock.
