Dates set for Eurobike 2025 as ’24 wraps up

The 32nd edition of Eurobike closed this weekend, rounding our five days at its relatively new Messe Frankfurt home (it was the third Eurobike in the city).

Eurobike 2025 has officially been scheduled in for a slightly earlier slot next year, over Wednesday 25 June to Sunday 29 June 2025.

Stefan Reisinger, Managing Director of Eurobike organiser fairnamic GmbH, explained: “While this year we had to compete with the European Soccer Championships, the US national holiday and other major events, such as the Tour de France, in 2025, we will return to our established June event slot.”

The 2024 edition saw 1,800 exhibitors from over 60 countries. 35,000 trade visitors (2023: 34,750) outnumbered the 33,000 bike fans (2023: 31,840), the latter largely visiting at the Festival Days over the weekend. 35% of trade visitors were non-European.

Picking out thriving sectors like eBikes and gravel, the organiser was keen to note Eurobike continued to serve the ecomobility sector as well as the sports side, with the Ecomobility Experience Gallery serving companies and municipalities looking to modernise their fleets with new electric vehicles.

An expanded conference programme included trade show tours for designated product highlights, including Start-Ups.

“In times of economic tension, stability is the new growth,” Reisinger added. “Thus, we are strengthening our position and creating a foundation for the future where the market picks up again.”

Manuel Marsilio, Managing Director of CONEBI, the European industry association, said: “Even if the economic figures are not satisfactory, we are experiencing a reset in the bike sector. The market will grow again and there will be a thriving bike future.”

Dr. Sandra Wolf, Managing Partner at Riese & Müller, added: “We are impressed – by the continued interest of people in the bike itself, the commitment of our dealers and the positive mood of this trade show. Our trade show presence is a clear commitment to Eurobike. As the leading trade show, Eurobike sends out a powerful and confident message for cycling culture and the bike industry, as a whole.”

CIN shared a few thoughts on sustainability – another topic widely discussed at Eurobike 2024.
