Decathlon issues recall on B-Twin RockRider bikes

Outdoor sports retail group Decathlon has issued a recall on a number of B-TWIN Rockrider SKUs due to a frame failure issue.

Affected builds include the Rockrider 520 and 540 hardtail mountain bikes sold between October 1st, 2016 and March 6th, 2017.

The firm said in a statement: “We kindly request that you please bring your bike to one of our stores, where it will be exchanged for an identical bike that is compliant. In the event an exchange does not meet your expectations, we can offer you a refund for your bike.”

To identify potentially faulty bikes, customers are asked to locate the silver sticker on the underside of the downtube for the 12 digit serial number, model name and size. Once found, the customer can input the detail here to check with the retailer if their bike is affected.
