Dirty Reiver marks 10th edition with new routes and record turnout

The 10th edition of the Panaracer Dirty Reiver took place last weekend, attracting more than 2,000 riders to one of the UK’s best-known gravel cycling events.

To mark the milestone, organisers introduced new routes across all three distances: 200km, 130km and 65km. Refreshing the courses every three years has become a tradition for the event, helping to keep the experience fresh for returning riders.

In the longest 200km ride, former domestic professional Damien Clayton set the fastest time, finishing in 6:14:25. Rachel Manning was the fastest महिला rider, completing the course in 8:07:47.

The Dirty Reiver also marks the start of the events calendar for organiser Focal Events. It will be followed by the SCOTT Frontier 300, an ultra-endurance coast-to-coast ride in May, the Dalby Grit race in June, and SCOTT Gravel Rocks in July.

Speaking about this year’s event, Co-Director Neil Atkinson said the focus was on improving the overall experience without changing what riders already enjoy. Organisers worked with partners to provide more support on the course and create a stronger atmosphere around the event.

Several brands also introduced special features to celebrate the 10th edition. These included a limited-edition anniversary tyre from Panaracer, a custom helmet design from POC and personalised engraved bottles from CamelBak.

Looking ahead, riders can register their interest for next year’s event, with entries set to open later this summer.
