Dutch eCargo bike and eBike brand Aitour hires UK Sales Manager

eBike and eCargo bike specialist Aitour, headquartered in Oldenzaal, Netherlands, have appointed their first UK based employee, with 30 year industry veteran Gila Joffe joining as UK Sales Manager.

With strong market presence in Germany, its home market of the Netherlands, and Poland, 2022 saw Aitour sell over 12000 bikes across the EU, via a combination of B2B and retail sales. In the UK the brand is targeting the fast-growing eBike market, offering eCargo bikes and eTrikes.

In Europe the Aitour brand has a reputation for quality components, using Shimano, Tektro, Kenda, and other household names, brought to market at an extremely competitive price point which few can match. The aim is to offer UK retail and trade partners this same value proposition.

For those making the trip to Eurobike 2023 you’ll find Aitour in Hall 8, on stand B04, with the opportunity to ride bikes as part of the Eurobike demo bike offering.

For the TUV certified Family C eCargo bike Aitour has specc’d a 250W 120Nm mid mounted motor from Ananda, giving the bike all the power it needs to support a maximum load capacity of 200Kg (120Kg rider + 80Kg payload). Simple yet powerful features such as a parking brake (handbrake), and a rear facing light that also work as a brake light, also show a thorough attention to ‘cycling as transport’ detail. Range for the Family C eCargo bike, fitted with a 643Wh Battery, is up to 65Km (40miles) per charge.

The eTrike, offered in Mini and Middle size configurations, provides a uniquely stable platform paired with an extremely low step over, ideal for riders looking for ease of use, and enhanced mobility. Powered by a 250w 55Nm front wheel hub mounted motor, combined with a lightweight battery, gives a 40Km + per charge range.
