ewheelers invites brands and shops to list on new eCommerce marketplace

A new eCommerce marketplace that pools bike shop, brands’ and individuals’ electric bike and eMobility products has launched under the ewheelers banner.

Born out of the frustrations of a Yorkshire based e-mountain bike enthusiast looking to upgrade his eMountain bike, Simon Capewell wanted to sell his old e-bike and buy a new one but apparently found few satisfactory options to do so.

His ewheelers platform has now launched, enabling buyers to browse and purchase from individual sellers, independent bike shops, retail chains, dealers, and manufacturers. There will be no limit to uploads for shops and businesses with stock to offer, though a listing fee which covers eight weeks and is determined by the sales value of the eBike (5 bands) applies. No further sales commission is taken. Bulk uploads of up to 50 items can now be achieved via the platform.

The inclusion of expert help and advice, community forums, a link to BikeRegister to ensure sales are genuine and links with insurance companies, means that ewheelers hopes to become a leading resource in the area and partner to the industry.

Founder Simon Capewell said: “ewheelers will make life simpler for all e-bike retailers: For the smaller outlets it offers an easy ecommerce route; for all retailers, big and small, it allows a simple marketplace for the trade-ins that will become a feature over the next 12-18 months as people look to upgrade their entry level e-Bikes.”

Alongside the platform ewheelers will be launching a calendar of events where members of the public can try e-biking on some of the best road and MTB trails in the country.

To support the visibility of the eCommerce platform Google Ads are now launching along with social media, organic and paid for search engine optimisation.
