Foldaway Solutions appoints trade veterans Barry Riemer and Ken Decesari

Foldaway Solutions LLC, a distributor for Oyama Bicycles, among others, has announced that two bicycle industry veterans — Barry Riemer and Ken DeCesari — have joined as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Sales, respectively.

Founded by Ken Fagut in 2015, Foldaway Solutions manages sales, marketing and distribution for these brands throughout North America. The company recently executed the North American launch of Oyama Bicycles at the Interbike in Las Vegas.

Through his consulting firm, Prime Velo, Riemer also serves as CFO for NYCeWheels (New York) and is a financial consultant for Nikola Pedals and the Los Angeles Bicycle Coalition. He previously held the position of controller for Dahon North America.

Prior to joining Foldaway Solutions, DeCesari was National Sales Manager for SockGuy for nearly 10 years, where he managed national accounts, outside sales and the company’s independent rep network. As VP of Sales for Foldaway Solutions, he will manage Foldaway sales teams, oversee operations, sales and marketing resources as well as directly manage relationships with key customers.

“This is an exciting time for Foldaway Solutions in terms of growth and impact, we can provide for a number of brands as they look to establish and grow market share throughout North America,” said Fagut, who has held national sales positions with a number of brands, including Dahon North America and BionX International. “The addition of industry professionals like Barry and Ken to our ranks demonstrates that we are serious about assisting brands with all aspects of sales, marketing and distribution throughout North America.

“Foldaway Solutions was created from the belief that by providing fun, and unique mobility solutions, more people would ride,” he continued. “Brands have approached us because of the industry intelligence we possess from not just our lengthy careers in the business, but from global alliances and friendships developed, along with our ability to collaborate and drive sales.”

“Ken Fagut and I have worked together previously,” said Riemer. “He brings high energy to every project he approaches and so when this opportunity arose, I knew it would be a challenge yet bring great satisfaction as we both take this startup forward.”

“Foldaway Solutions represents an exciting opportunity for not just myself, but for the brands we offer, the dealers who we will be working with and ultimately the consumers whose lifestyles we compliment,” said DeCesari. “I am excited to bring my experience in sales management and building brands seeking to grow their market share through existing and new sales channels. Ken Fagut and I have known each other for many years. After learning about the direction Foldaway Solutions is heading and the tools we’ve got to make them a reality, it was clear this is where I want to be.”
