Future secured for Swinley Bike Hub, now under new ownership

Swinley Bike Hub has been acquired by cycling industry veterans Simon Adams and Aidan Bishop. Together, Simon and Aidan bring over 60 years of combined experience in riding, racing, coaching, and working across multiple sectors of the cycling industry, from retail and distribution to event management and trail development.

This wealth of expertise positions the duo perfectly to expand the Hub’s reputation as a thriving centre for the cycling community while introducing new services, programmes, and innovations designed to drive engagement and growth.

Previously, the business had been bought by Whyte in late 2023, which recently announced it was refocusing its priorities.

Simon and Aidan’s vision for Swinley Bike Hub includes enhancing the customer experience, expanding ties with local schools and businesses and strengthening ties with the industry to ensure Swinley Bike Hub remains a flagship destination for riders.

“We’re passionate about creating a space that inspires every cyclist, from seasoned racers to first-time riders,” said Simon Adams. Aidan Bishop added: “Our aim is to make Swinley Bike Hub not just a trailhead, but a true hub for the MTB community.”

Key Plans for 2025

Under Simon and Aidan’s leadership, Swinley Bike Hub will introduce several initiatives, including:
• Expanded Fleet: A significant investment in new rental bikes.
• Youth Outreach: Engaging with schools, clubs, and youth organisations to introduce more young riders to the sport.
• Corporate Packages: Developing unique team-building, wellness and positive mental health programmes for businesses.
