Gallery: Cervelo R3 disk and C5 Dura Ace set for ExCel debut

Cervelo is to hold a UK debut for both its C5 Dura Ace ‘gravel grinder’ and R3 Disc at the London Bike Show, taking place at Excel later in February.

As you’d expect, Cervelo has been busy building a class leader in the gravel territory, with the C5’s 850 gram frame striking a balance between racer and all-day adventure bike. The geometry reflects the endurance-focus, with a low bottom bracket, longer 420mm chain stays and taller 180mm head tube on the drawing board from the outset.

The UK retail price comes in at £6,199.

The R3 is Cervelo’s first disc build, as seen for the first time at Eurobike. With the chainstays now flowing into the seat tube, the back end widens and is said to offer a stiffer feel to the prior non disc R3. The chainstays remain short at 405mm, somethign Cervelo’s engineers have achieved with the introduction of a custom FSA SLK crank that offers a 5mm offset to keep things lined up.

To see both builds in the flesh, head over to Tri UK’s booth.
