Genesis expands CDA range with new Junior model

Genesis has expanded its CDA range with the addition of a new model designed for younger riders.

The updated lineup now includes the CDA Junior, alongside the refreshed CDA 10 and CDA 20. The CDA Junior is a scaled-down model suitable for riders between 140 and 157 centimetres tall. Featuring a lightweight aluminium frame and fork engineered specifically for smaller cyclists, it’s ideal for forest trails, canal paths and family bikepacking adventures.

The CDA Junior’s frame is crafted from 6061 aluminium, offering a balance of low weight and durability. Its microSHIFT Advent 1×9 drivetrain delivers easy maintenance and a wide gear range for young riders. Combined with 24-inch wheels, a 468mm effective top tube and a 340mm seat tube, the bike ensures a comfortable fit.

“The introduction of the CDA Junior marks a new chapter for Genesis in children’s bikes. We understand how important the family side of cycling is, and that’s why we’ve created a purpose-built 24-inch gravel bike that delivers the same performance, versatility and adventure-ready features as our adult platforms,” said Sam Lawson, Product Manager at Genesis.

Aside from the Junior model, the CDA 10 has been updated for gravel and mixed-surface riding. Designed for commuters and weekend explorers alike, it blends everyday practicality with proven off-road capability.

Built around an ALX 6061 aluminium frame and chromoly fork, the CDA 10 features Shimano’s new ESSA 1x drivetrain, offering low maintenance and easy access to spare parts. 45c Maxxis Rambler tyres strike a balance between comfort, grip and control on both tarmac and trail, while Sportline’s Amplitude components complete the build with matching bars, stem and seatpost.

Lastly, the CDA 20 caters to riders seeking greater range, control and performance from their all-terrain bike. Sharing the same ALX 6061 aluminium frame and chromoly fork as the CDA 10, it upgrades to higher-end components for smoother shifting and stronger braking. A Shimano CUES 2×10 drivetrain provides a wide gear range for tackling varied terrain, while TRP Spyre mechanical disc brakes with dual-piston actuation deliver reliable stopping power and a responsive lever feel. The build is rounded out with 45mm Maxxis Rambler tyres, a quality Amplitude finishing kit, and a comfortable Madison Flux saddle.
