Get more face-to-face time with consumers via the National Cycling Show, brought to you with V12 Retail Finance
IN DEPTH: If getting your brand in front of 10,000-plus cycle enthusiasts is the kind of opportunity that appeals then it’s well worth ensuring you have 15-16 June 2024 blocked out in your diary.
The National Cycling Show (NCS), brought to you with V12 Retail Finance, is returning to one of the UK’s best known show venues, the NEC, Birmingham on those dates, and – months ahead – there are already over 16,000 visitors pre-registered to head through the doors.
The NCS is pitched as the mainstream consumer show in the UK for all cycling enthusiasts, ranging from the all-important new entrants to leisure cyclists and committed bike enthusiasts/nuts. Adhering to the proven “bums on saddles” equals sales conversions, consumers will be able to try and buy everything from bikes to accessories. All levels and disciplines will be able to purchase what they need at this consumer event.
Now in its third year, NCS is picking up an increasingly impressive roll call of cycle brands, including respected global names and up-and-coming names, including Kona Bicycles, Marin Bikes, Atherton Bikes, KALAS, Riese & Muller, Vielo.cc, Shand, Tredz, Lake Cycling, MiRider, VELO DE VILLE and Yamaha eBikes plus more (find the full list online at the official site).
There are a few familiar faces from the world of cycle sport heading to the NEC too, via the Inspiration Stage, including Sir Bradley Wiggins, Ben Deakin, Jack Carthy, Mark Beaumont and more still to be announced. Aside from cycle ‘slebs, the show’ll have plenty of features to lure in cyclists, including its own Pump Track, The Bike Clinic, the Bikepacking and Adventure Biking Zone, Showcase Alley and MiRider feature test track.
The show brings together the industry to educate, inspire and motivate all major cohorts of cyclist including road bikers, gravel, mountain, BMX, leisure/e-bikes and commuters. It will also inspire those who already have a passion for exercising outdoors to get on a bike and have go.
BOOST CONSUMER TOUCHPOINTS
The world of cycle events has changed recently, but if the last few years have taught us anything, it’s the value of getting quality face-to-face time. The opportunities for companies and brands to bolster their consumer touchpoints are precious, and NCS provides chance to convert online interactions into something a lot more tangible.
The organiser behind NCS passed over some demographic info for visitors for the show:
- 62% cycle at least once a week
- 86% would describe themselves as intermediate or advanced cyclists
- 37% would purchase a bike either once a year or more than once a year with 82% of these people spending £1,000 plus and 29% of them spending £3,000 plus
The organiser added: “Get involved with us for the busy two days to gain brand awareness and sell to a new fresh audience, make it a platform to launch new products, gather data and connect with customers face-to-face. As organisers we have invested in supporting the cycling industry by growing this annual consumer event.
“We make cycling accessible for everyone, the geographical location of the event attracts the whole of the UK. Be part of an event that is supporting the revival of the cycling industry and fuelling the UK’s passion for cycling.”
