Giant’s Indian partner to focus on own brand?

An article in the Times of India with Starkenn Sports Pvt Ltd, Giant’s exclusive partner in India, has suggested that the distributor is looking at a different strategy for its business.

Starkenn Sports CEO Pravin V Patil, told the title “We have learned a lot through international brand tie-up (with Giant), but now we are trying to create everything in Starkenn.”

Stating that the company’s future direction is being re-assessed, Patil said of the possibility of setting up an independent firm; “No announcement as of now. But yes, that is the direction.”
