HKT to reshore production of custom goods, Joystick departs

HKT Products is to reshore production of its custom-branded products as currency fluctuations prompt a rethink for the Sheffield distributor.

Citing increasingly difficult trading conditions on the back of Brexit uncertainty, founder Oliver Green also broke news that one of his original brands – Joystick – would depart the portfolio.

“The tough currency conditions brought up by Brexit and our increased success with the custom branded segment of our portfolio has really highlighted the potential of UK manufacture. Parting company with Joystick will allow us to focus a lot harder on this, with more and more products scheduled to be moved back to the UK over the coming months and years, so keep your eyes peeled for more on this,” said Green.

“We will also be re-doubling our efforts with our other brands, which continue to show year on year growth. From all of us at HKT we wish the Joystick Team all the best in their future endeavours.”

HKT’s portfolio is now made up of Sensus, 35 Bikes, All Mountain Style, Ninjaz and Saxx.
